Loving God
You stood on the field and you preached to the people
But only a few understood
The words you were speaking and how God wants to world
to be and how life here is
You spoke how the poor and the simple are blessed that sadness will end
You said it is better to bless than to hate
to forgive the unrighteousness.
Loving God with your heart and your soul
and your next as much as yourself
Makes you inherit the kingdom of God
Loving God with your life with your all
And your next as yourself
Makes you see the face of God and feel his loving care
You Sid we shall love even those who hate us
Bless those who are cursing us
Forgive those who cause us suffer and pain to break the chains of hate
You said that the thoughts are leading to sin that evil comes out of heart
Jesus, I beg you please purify me to live in the kingdom of God
Jesus, I see that you know what I feel when I suffer even I love
You hang on the cross tortured and pained but you prayed father forgive
Let me learn from your words and you life the rules of the Kingdom of God
Loving with love so divine and so pure
my God and my next and myself
Bibletexts:
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Mattew 22
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Ephes. 1
Sister,In what ways can we demonstrate our love for God with our hearts and souls, as well as with our lives and next actions?
I think we can love God with our heart by considering his love for us. In Romans 5 we can read, that he has loved us before we loved him and he gave us because of love his own son to pay the price of sin for us. When we see that there is somebody who loves us so much, it is easy to reflect this love and love him, too.
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
And on the other hand we have to see that the bible says, God is a jealous God. He gave everything to us and so he would like, that we give him our whole heart and not only parts of it to him.
23 Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing , which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee. 24 For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
Deuteronomium 4
How can we cultivate a spirit of forgiveness towards those who have wronged us or caused us pain, even if they do not deserve it? For example: our bad direct leaders, people’s former bad ex-lovers.
It is natural, that it hurts when somebody causes pain and that it takes time until we have forgiven all the harm we have suffered. That is why the bible says, not seven times but seventy seven times you have to forgive to your next. The sad thoughts will come again and again we should forgive until we are in completely peace about that situation.
In Hebrews 12 we find an interesting word:
14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
so if we are not willing to forgive, our heart will be full of bitternes and the people arround us wil be defiled.
And the text says, that forgiving and following peace is the same as following holiness and finally following the small path that leads to heaven.
What does it mean to “inherit the kingdom of God” through loving God with all our being? Can you provide examples of how this might look in everyday life?
We inherrit the kingdom of God because we are his children.
In John 1 we read, that all who accepted Jesus as their savior get the right to be children of God.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
In everyday life it can change the way you look unto yourself and change the way you live:
As a child of God who is king of heaven, you are a princess or a prince, so there is no room for low self-esteem.
As child of a Holy God you long to live a pure life. You don t obey the standard of morality of the bible because you are forced to do it and obey the law. You do it, because your father is a Holy God and so you are holy, too and you throw away all things you are now ashamed for as it is written in Ephesians.
How can we recognize and overcome the influence of negative thoughts, which can lead to sin and evil actions?
First of all, we have to be aware, that we are a new creation in Christ. When we repent, we are newborn in the Spirit and beside our flesh we have a new identity in Christ.
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 corinthans 5
This new identity will always seek Gods will, because it is its character, the only problem we have is, that our old flesh is fighting against our new identity.
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Galatians 5
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5
The question is, whom of those two we give more food. When we feed our old flesh with things the flesh likes – the bible is saying having our stomach as our God – the new creation in us is weak and we will never reach to get quit the influences of bad thoughts even we suffer a lot.
If we feed the spiritual creation in us by reading the bible and praying and having fellowship with God, the evil thoughts have no room and we will be transformed to a citizen in the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
Galatians 5
I leave the bible verses in the transcription file on our website.
What does it mean to “see the face of God and feel his loving care,” and how can we experience this connection with God in our daily lives?
Of course we don t see the face of God physically while we are here on earth. But we see it spiritually, that we learn more and more about his character. And there may be many situations when we feel his loving care: I once had an accident (it was another one who drove, but I was in the car) and it was a miracle, that nothing happened and another day I fell the stairs down with my daughter on my arm and it was a miracle, too, that it went well.
And in other no such dramatical situation I feel, that he is near and cares for me. That he supplies my daily needs and just hears when I am praying.
Also,In your understanding, how does Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross reflect his love for humanity and his desire for us to live in the kingdom of God?
God always wanted the best for humanity, because he is love, therefore he put them in a wonderful garden. But mankind sinned and somebody had to pay the price for sin.
At the cross Jesus payed the price for sin and because he has payed, we are by law free from punishment.
But what means to be free? A lot of people think, that they are free to sin again, when somebody says to them that they are not longer under the law. Paul writes about this in the epistel to the Romans.
But of course, we are not free to sin again. We are free to enter the kingdom of God. When mankind had sinned they were thrown out of paradise and an angel was guarding the entrance of the paradise to make it impossible to enter again.
But at the cross Jesus said to the man next to him: Today you will be in paradise with me and so, when we repented we will be able to live in the kingdom of God again.
The last interview question for my sister, Can you share any personal experiences or stories where you have seen the power of love in action, either towards others or towards yourself, and how it has impacted your relationship with God?
I just am experiencing some very nice things. First, this podcast and the friendship with you are very nice for me and an express of Gods love to me.
The second one is the friendship with a sister from Canada which has a group about weight loss in base of the bible teaching.
I have problems with overweight since a long time and have tried a lot of dieting and nothing worked fine. But now in base of the bible teaching I achieve not to eat more than I should and I already lost some pounds.
But the topic is not only how we loose weight, it is, how we can become the person God wants us to be.
And finally means to live in the kingdom of God: Becoming the person, God wants me to be and a tool in Gods hand for to be a blessing for the people that surrounds me.
Because many people cannot understand the exact meaning of loving your next in Bible, here are some reference materials. Sister, please read it to us. Hope blew explanation could help our audience in Bible study.
Loving Your Next in the Bible
The Bible teaches us to love our next, which can be interpreted in different ways. Some people believe that it means loving our neighbors as ourselves, while others think it means loving our enemies. However, according to the teachings of Jesus and the New Testament, loving our next is about treating others with kindness, respect, and justice, regardless of their background or behavior.
In the Old Testament, there are many laws and commandments that govern our relationships with others. These laws are designed to protect the weak and provide guidelines for daily life. For example, we are not supposed to oppress or harm others, steal from them, or desire their possessions. We should also avoid bearing false witness against our neighbors and deal with them fairly and justly.
In the New Testament, Jesus taught his followers to love their enemies, pray for those who persecuted them, and do good even to those who curse them. This kind of love is not natural for human beings because we tend to defend our rights and seek revenge. However, Jesus calls us to live as children of God and to become more like him by loving our enemies. By doing so, we can experience a deeper relationship with God and others.
In conclusion, loving your next in the Bible means treating others with kindness, respect, and justice, regardless of their background or behavior. It involves obeying the law and seeking to build strong relationships with those around us.
But by following Jesus one not only become a better person, one becomes a new created person who is able to love God and his next as the bible commands.
There were a lot of people in history, which for example John Wesley, Martin Luther and others which testified with their life, that a person which is shaped by God gives a positive impact to this world.
